Different Types of Humidity test Chamber

These chambers are also known as environmental chambers, temperature chambers and humidity chambers (it depends on the environmental condition that is required to be controlled. They are installations that are designed to test biological and industrial items, these items differ from regular items as they require specific conditions (atmospheric composition, humidity and temperature environments).

They are designed to be a place to test things; a variety of tests can be performed in these chambers, the physical properties are often effected by different humidifies and temperatures, that is why these facilities are specifically designed to control these things, ensuring the test can be performed properly.

When a test is given out to be performed a test report must be included, this will detail the specific tolerances and conditions that the test must be performed at.

They are usually small rooms, they can be used to both conduct the test and also condition test specimens. Small units are also available; these are used to condition test items. Really small chambers are also available; they are small enough too placed on test apparatus like a Universal Testing Machine.

Chambers can be pre programmed to run through a cycle of different conditions, each with varying temperatures etc. Some of them are set to specific conditions. Some possible uses of a chamber are listed below:

Electronics - Test items with temperatures ranging from -65 to 150 degrees C.

Building Parts - Simulated rain can be poured on to the parts.

Animals and Plants - Controlled CO2, humidity and temperature.

Clothes - Living conditions can be simulated.
